The Twende Chalbi

Five days.
One extraordinary
northern circuit.

From Nairobi through Marsabit and the white expanse of the Chalbi Desert to the turquoise waters of Lake Turkana โ€” a frontier road trip designed for travellers who want to go beyond the familiar.

Why this journey

Kenya's northern frontier, experienced as a journey.

This is not simply a transfer from one destination to another. The route moves through changing landscapes, remote communities and remarkable natural settings โ€” from the forests and crater-lake landscape of Marsabit to Chalbi's salt flats, North Horr's dunes and Lake Turkana.

The journey includes photography, desert walks, cultural experiences, a Lake Turkana boat experience and time beside the lake, while professional guides, drivers and photography support the group throughout.
